Recently I have had the opportunity to work with a great designer Nicole Zizi. She got me involved in her supply chain doing the screen prints for her tees, hoodies and sweats. The design is pretty simple but the back is the toughest part. It is a very small detailed text. I always use a high mesh on it, a 230 screen. When burning the screen I always use a vacuum sealed exposure unit because that is the best way to ensure high detail being washed out.
Check out how I screen printed it.
This is a back off print so that’s why the hoody is placed that way.
The key is using a harder squeegee to push the ink through. That will ensure all the letters pulls through.
One passing is good for this.
I dropped in blue on top of the white because I do not like using chemicals that much. Press through the ink enough and it’ll be good to go. Be careful you can only go from light to dark.
Matching colors with pantones to ensure best results especially if the client wants a specific color.
Hope you enjoyed the process. Reach out if you have any questions.
